Once There Was A Poor Servant Girl who was industrious and clean. Each day she swept the dirt away in front of the door into a great heap. One Day, She found a letter in top of the Heap. She Couldn't Read, So she brought the letter to her master. It was an invitation from the elves to be godmother at the christening of one of their children. The girl thought hard what to do. Her master explained to her that it would be bad to turn down an invitation from the elves, so she accepted. Three elves arrived and escorted her to the hollow mountain. Everything was small, but rich and elegant. The new mother lay in the bed of ebony. Whole pearls served as knobs for the bedpost. The bed clothes were made of gold cloth. The cradle of ivory and the baby's bathtub was of gold.
After the christening, The girl was ready to leave. But the elves begged her to stay three days longer. She enjoyed her stay, and when three days are over, the elves gave her some gold and led her home, when she arrived, it turned out that instead of three days she had spent a whole year in the mountain.
